Young Africans Sports Club (YANGA) was founded by the poorest in 1935 and is the most popular football club in East Africa & Central Africa with over 35 million fans.

After nearly a decade long feud that has gripped the minds of many, Mr. Reginald Abraham Mengi is invited Mr. Yusuf Mehbub Manji, to a live broadcasted debate on 3rd July, 2015 at 6-7 PM on TBC, where viewers can ask the two adversaries questions, and uncover the truth for themselves: it’s ShowTime:

YANGA was instrumental in the United Republic of Tanzania's founding; TANU held its meetings in the YANGA Club House on how to remove the then colonial rulers and thus gave birth to the independent Tanganyika; YANGA was instrumental in

uniting Tanganyika & Zanzibar to what is today the United Republic of Tanzania, all the Club's colors of Yanga are in the National Flag, part of its name is in the Tanzanian National Anthem , its emblem of the torch is monumantized in National events as the Independence Torch of Light that was the symbol for greater Africa’s liberation struggles, the No. 1 Yanga Member is registered as the Father of the Nation, the Late Mwalimu Julius K. Nyerere, the Late Mzee Karume built for Yanga its Club House as a thank you for the role the Club played in disposing the monarch that ruled Zanzibar.

Yanga is not owned by a person- but by its Members, and its Trustees include the Co-Mother of the Nation Mama Fatma Karume, Honorable Captain George Mkuchika the Minister of Good Governance amongst other luminaries of the Nation.

Leaders not only of Tanzania are Yanga followers, but also neighboring countries as when they stayed in Tanzania for their independence struggles they fell in love with the Tanzanian people’s nobility in assisting them, saying freedom has no price, and as the majority of Tanzanians are YANGA fans, these Leaders too became our brethren. I know, because I am Yanga's Chairman and I speak to our well-wishers.

I am Yusuf Mehbub Manji (39 years old), the youngest Chairman of Young Africans Sports Club (YANGA), democratically elected on 14th July, 2012 by Yanga Members with a 97.5% mandate!

When the Chairman of YANGA is called corrupt, an embezzler, a cheat, a thief etc. then I as Chairman have two choices resign on ethical grounds, or reply to the wicked doers and thus this message is to YANGA, Tanzania, and Africa, for if I keep silence I bring disrepute to the oldest and most respected body that was formed to bring happiness to us all.

An article appeared on8th June, 2015 in NIPASHE Newspaper, published by IPP Media, owned by one Mr. Reginald Abraham Mengi, alleging that my company's (namely Farm Equip Tanzania and Quality Garage <now called QG Engineering>) as having defrauded the Government of Tanzania, under Commodity Import Support Tshs 9.055 billion, which article only appeared in Mengi's Press. The truth is that this is a lie; and allegations made against me by Mengi are a lie, and read the “Responses” section of this page.

This Chairman of YANGA is not corrupt, embezzler, thief, cheat or any other envious allegation concocted by the media owned by our Club's enemy No. 1 Mr. Reginald Abrahaim Mengi. This Chairman of Yanga does not get a salary from the Club, any allowances, nor any financial benefits, other than, the greatest gift the Almighty can give a man:

THE OPPORTUNITY TO BRING HAPPINESS TO OTHERS. That is the gift this Chairman of YANGA has been given, and I know that every win that YANGA secures, millions of you rejoice and forget today’s problems, and I thank you for the trust you have honored me with.

For those, who may be too young to remember, Mengi tried to takeover, our beloved Club in the 1990's and YANGA elders kicked him out, wisely understanding that his motivations was to use YANGA solely for personal gain, and he was behind stirring conflict with-in YANGA and then mediate a divided YANGA to rule over it: as one person told him

during the meeting held in Starlight Hotel one Great Night (when Mengi had to hide in the toilet and then rescued by the Police as his bodyguard was overwhelmed) that, "…… he should first go sort out his matrimonial dispute before trying to mediate conflicts (which he created within the Club)" and after his great escape, in turn he pledged our Club forever misery.

In early 2006, when I was only 30 years of age, I was requested to assist our partisan ravaged financially poor Club, by both people and Powers, that I should take up the responsibility as Chief Sponsor, and as soon as word got

to Mengi, he started on 26th March, 2006 newspapers that were focused on destroying me by tarnishing my credibility and demonizing me as some criminal. Being only an average citizen at the time, I had only the option to open legal suits against the so called media baron; you may remember I have sued Mengi for only Tanzanian Shilling 1/= which suit to date has been too dragging in our Courts as Mengi does not want any cases to finish that I have filed against his falsehoods, and the truth be conclusively decided by the judiciary (which he claims to have faith in).

When I questioned Mengi's sanity, he sued me for Tshs 150 billion, which suit he lost and the Bill of Cost he is liable for exceeds Tshs 5 billion! Mengi opened in the last 10 years against me two suits, one as stated he lost, and another he withdrew on his own volition, meaning whatever I have in my defiance said about Mengi is true.

Before electing me as the Chairman of YANGA you knew me, you knew that I bow to no one other than my Maker, you knew I would fight for what I believe in and if I believe in something I would do my best to achieve it. You, as YANGA Members, knew Mengi had already started slandering me in his media, but you ignored such lies and

instead honored me first as Yanga's mediator of a decade long conflict which we resolved together in three months after being the Club's Chief Sponsor, then you titled me as a Trustee of Yanga and I formed the first Board of Trustees by requesting elders to form a Council and then resigned as I was too young to be a Trustee, and when i was only 33

years old saying my “good-byes” as my job was done, Yanga elders recited special prayers for me and then made me the Club’s first "Chief" and gave me the symbolic armor of the shield an arrow, and when needed again in the Club, at the age of 36 you voted me as Chairman of the greatest football Club in Africa, our Young Africans Sports Club. YANGA has blessed me so much, that when my family walks on the streets, we are overwhelmed with affection, to the point that my mother goes to the market in a taxi because vendors do not want her to pay for groceries because of the respect she holds being the mother of YANGA's Chairman. You have given me so much love that my children on their Facebook pages cannot put my picture as otherwise they would have “too many friend requests” and my wife has to use her maiden name because she is embarrassed by the care you give us, when you know she is a part of me. All I can give in return is my promise that I will continue to do my best for the Club till my last day as Chairman of YANGA, and today the struggle continues for the betterment of our Club.

Since being kicked out of YANGA, Mengi fears for his life so much that he thinks everyone in Tanzania wishes to kill him, including the incumbent President, and begs for Police protection, which by the way most Police are YANGA. Surprisingly, he wished us harm and now is scared for his life every

year going on television “weeping” that his life is in danger! Mr. Mengi, YANGA does not want to kill you, we simply hate you, but we can contain ourselves. Professor Muhonga, the Minister of Energy & Minerals advised the Nation in Parliament that Mengi has 52 mining concessions that aren’t developed and is behind in paying the license fees, and he would revoke those concessions Mengi received free of charge corruptly, and was the most held by any single Tanzanian. Professor Muhongo further said that Mengi could not develop any of the gas blocks as his business was likened to selling only “juice.”

If we Tanzanians are known world over as peace loving people, why is that every year you are claiming insecurity? Is it that demons are haunting you from your past and you want our forgiveness now?

Mr. Mengi, I don't need protection like you because my protection is the millions of people of YANGA! I don't need money when I walk in Tanzania as no vendor of YANGA wants to take money from me. Unlike you, I don't need awards to be recognized and/or advertised as there isn't anyone in Tanzania who doesn't know me, nor do I need a

VIP Passport to go through the airport, as I get red carpet treatment just being an honest Chairman of YANGA who tries his best to discharge his responsibilities to the Club he loves. Best of all, I know when it is time for me to meet death, my children will be guarded over and protected by the Nation that is YANGA, with Members far and wide on every Continent where people of Tanzanian origin live.

Mr. Mengi, I am a simple man, brought up by a father who during the war against Iddi Amin was building one truck body for our brave soldiers in Kagera every day and as appreciation the Founding Father of the Nation visited his small workshop, and since then every President has

visited during their term a business of my family. I am happily married since 1994, which wedding was honored by guests such as H.E. Ali Hassan Mwinyi, the Later Prime Minsiter Msuya, Honorable Malachela and many more leaders, and now I having two boys, one 17 years old and another 12 years old. Dare I ask where you were during the war in Kagera, or how long your current marriage is? You need the pomp and ceremony to fill the void of accomplishing nothing of value to be recited in your eulogy, and that is all your own fault, because you can’t live with people let alone lead people. You have never been elected by the ordinary man be it a Councilor or even a 10 cell leader, yet you fool yourself that you have qualities of leadership.

We know you aren't happy YANGA winning the close of last season it’s 25th Premier League Championships as you have none to your record, nor are you happy that a young person can be loved more than you, and your jealousy

consumes you that it is pitiful that you have to get fake doctorates to feel relevant, cook books so you can be termed as the richest man in Tanzania! Your industries are what: mixing syrup from America with Tanzanian water calling it Coca-Cola, mixing paer and pen and calling

it information, showing yourself on your TV station and calling it news, blackmailing politicians to give you land and mining concessions which you don't have money to develop, and thus become a broker of getting things free from us poor Tanzanians and selling them to foreigners

and claiming we should give you our Gas because you are going to help us poor Tanzanians? If I am not wrong then a man worth US$ 550 million getting a return of 10% per annum on his investment i.e. US$ 55 million p.a. should be having his businesses paying income tax of more or less US$ 16.5 million? ARE YOU PAYING INCOME TAX OF US$ 16.5 million per year? I know you aren't, because as I told you YANGA is everywhere and by extension I know everything about you as YANGA's Chairman.

Mr. Mengi, do tell us what businesses have you started in the last 10 years that you are worth US$ 550 million; IPP was formed only in 1981 and before that you were only an accountant. As I asked, do you think YANGA does not know about your affairs, and by extension me as its Chariman knows our value better than even your accountant?

I can give you my business story examples, but as I am not the boastful kind, I will not talk about a fish processing plant in Lake Victoria or the largest Rice Mill in Morogoro, but give you the example of only one: a shopping mall opened on 25th November, 2011 by the then Right Honorable Railla Odinga, the now retired Prime Minister of Kenya who flew in specially just to acknowledge my enterprises in East Africa. Sir, which business, did you open in the last 10 years that a Leader from Tanzania inaugurated let alone from another country?

My life, be it a Trustee of the African Union Ebola Solidarity Trust Fund where we raised over US$ 50 million to fight Ebola, and continue to fight the scourge from the continent that remains affecting Sere Leon, to the millions whose pictures you can see on the this web page are happy and united winning

together Championships and motivating youth development, and in 10 years I have done more for Africa then the awards you lobby to get or Public Relations stunts you do, and never did I take pleasure in receiving but know from my heritage that giving frees you.

I wonder have you thought how many people would come to your funeral versus mine, a young man which at 30 you tried to destroy and now a decade later, while you may have delayed my businesses reaching their pinnacle, God has rewarded me to be one of the most loved persons in Tanzania, if not Africa.

Mr. Mengi, you are quick to claim when you doesn't get your way, Tanzanians are corrupt and you are fighting for the downtrodden against corruption; A British High Court which you filed a Libel Case, for being called, a liar, cheat and many other words you found unholy, delivered its judgement against you that not only are you a liar, cheat but also a fraudster, reporting in your

media inaccurate, abusive, deliberate in putting your self-interests over all ethics, IPP has no journalistic independence and you are corrupt and complacent to corruption which hounded investors, by "journalist terrorism" (a.k.a. you are likened to Osama Bin Laden of Al-Quaeda or ISIS of modern day)

and the judgment points out that under Common Law... ... which under Tanzanian Common Law, you need to be prosecuted as a criminal by the Tanzanian Authorities! A British Judge concludes under Tanzanian Law that you need to be prosecuted as a Criminal, then it’s a bit of common sense that you aren’t worthy of any praise as your sins outweigh any good that you could possibly do. In my capacity as Chairman of Yanga, the custodian of protecting the good name of this Great Club which I am the Leader of and the Chairmanship of YANGA, I invite Mr. Reginald Abraham Mengi for a live televised debate on Friday, the 3rd July, 2015 so that Tanzanian may ask us questions, and Mengi can come produce against me evidence of corruption, that he thumps in the media,

It is my responsibility as Yanga's Chairman to end this nonsense Mengi is undertaking and wasting our Club’s resources as the Club cannot be governed in an environment that all the good we do or try to do, including attracting the best players, lobby for land for a stadium of our own, building brand equity of YANGA, gets derailed by one despot who pretends to be clean rich man, and disrupts my work and that of the Club's Executive Committee. Enough is enough.

Let the truth be uncovered on 3rd July, 2015 and if Mengi is right then he should not fear facing me in the debate, and stop this below the belt media terrorism, because I am fed up with not progressing on our progressive agenda or having to explain the greatness of our Club when dealing with the Club's Business Partners, players, Yanga fans who get pressure or worried about me, or those people who taunt Yanga fans that the Club is run by dirty money!

Our saying is forward always, and backwards never and I want to in the debate prove to YANGA that our backward slide two decades ago was because of Mengi, and today our progress is hampered because every time we resolve

to move on a matter of our Club’s interests, Mengi uses his media to influence decision makers and that is the fact.

Let’s conclude this once and for all: am I bad for Tanzania or Mengi, and let us resolve that the so called leaders who come asking for our vote only to after getting into office do everything in their power to deny us our fate, that this election we also remove them. Our Founders made from a Club, a Nation and its Leaders, and it is only for us to blame ourselves if we do not meet our promise with destiny.
